Eva Longoria Parker has been on Desperate Housewives since day one, and says she landed the role because she's "selfish." She claims she showed up for her audition with only having read the lines for the character she was trying out for, and that really assured Marc Cherry she was the gal meant to plays Gaby.

She said: "Marc Cherry asked me, 'What did you think of the script?' So I said, 'You know, I didn't read the script, I just read my parts and I think she's fantastic.'
