Despite being surrounded with “carefree” friends and acquaintances, the 18 year old star says her mother would definitely “slap her upside the head” if she fell out of line.

“I think it’s important to just surround yourself with good people and to make sure you have the support system in your family,” she said in an interview with RadarOnline

“A lot of the times those are situations when people aren’t saying no to those girls and I definitely have a mum who would slap me upside the head if I went crazy or something.”

Demi insist that she won’t be the next Lindsay Lohan.

Moreover,the camp Rock star,who previously dated Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers,is currently working on her forthcoming album that is set to release spring of next year.

Demi is also gleefully anticipating what will her future bring.

“I’m really excited about it,” she added. “I’m doing more of dance R&B mainstream music so I’m really excited.” She is also looking forward to “getting in on the creative side and creating TV shows and movies.
